I have had many experiences – an eclectic working background!! I belonged to the ‘corporate world’ for many years, working as a personal assistant and recruitment consultant. My journey changed, when my children arrived – creativity flowed. This led to my sister and I running a successful café / gallery called Ockanui Espresso Gallery for a few years showcasing beautiful paintings, artefacts and furnishings.
I created and convened a series of wonderful Artist Markets at the Beaumaris Art Group and sold textile wall hangings, scarves and cushions. I also taught students at the mosaic application classes at BAGS. I studied interior decorating & was involved in pre-sale styling working as a soft furnishing consultant with a Bayside business. A door soon opened and I had the opportunity to create an interior styling & upholstery business ‘EvaJ Interiors & Upholstery’ located in Sandringham. My business is now called ‘Eva by Sally’ providing a complete upholstery & soft furnishing service.
My love for fabrics & textiles including the desire to bring back to life – old, special but tired furniture has inspired me. My experiences provide me with the techniques to assist you with colour schemes, furniture styles & layout and to select beautiful fabrics for your chairs, bed heads, ottomans, cushions, curtains and more.
