His work reflects a blend of strong imagery and subtle narratives.
“The works in this collection captures the beauty of sea and cloudscapes, along with found treasures from the Peninsula’s back beaches. Each day offers something new — fresh perspectives, unique moments, and endless inspiration.”
Alistair Marks
Forever chasing the perfect frame, Alistair Marks’s photography explores the graceful beat between light and dark. Alistair’s work spans the seasonal cycle, through the eyes of the sun and the moon. He explores different facets of Melbourne and Peninsula life, where both light and dark tell their own stories.
“Early in life, I tried to construct a clean image of myself, believing shadows needed to be hidden away. However, I discovered that our most compelling truths often dwell in the darker spaces. For a shadow isn’t the absence of light – it’s light being blocked. This collection of photographs explores my connection to life’s seasonal cycle.”
