Emma Cleine

The artist behind Lumiere Art + Co, an art collective founded in 2010, now practices as Emma Cleine. Emma studied Fine Arts, Sculpture and Printmaking (Monash BFA) and has works in private collections across Australia.
A multidisciplinary artist, she likes to work with found materials, reintroducing them to an audience in a new context, whether that be a print using a swimsuit, discarded handmade lace or clay dug from her environment as she transforms objects into a contemporary aesthetic.
An influence of Emma is consistently the landscape, how we interact with objects and ideas pertaining to generations and postcolonial identities. Emma has been published in Vogue, Marie Clare, Inside Out, Home Beautiful, House and Garden and The Design Files.
Emma Cleine has also worked as a creative director for 10 years on various projects such as Industria X Furniture, Keep Store and interiors. Emma grew up on the Mornington Peninsula and calls Red Hill South home.
